Michael Dunn is Professor and Head of the Elam Art School of Fine Arts at the University of Auckland. He has written many books on New Zealand art including A Concise History of New Zealand Painting (1991) and Contemporary Painting in New Zealand (1996) and was a co-author of Frances Hodgkins: Paintings and Drawings recently reissued in a paperback edition.
